The Daddy Cool Kids were an international children's band. They were produced by Frank Farian .

Band history

Farian formed the group around his ten-year-old daughter Yanina, who grew up in the USA. The boy of the quartet, the Englishman Mo Mansaray, had previously been successful in Farian's Boney-M. -Musical Daddy Cool played the role of Young Sunny . The oldest and main singer is Désirée Mendonça, who lives in Berlin and has already sung in the choir of the German State Opera. Originally, nine-year-old British Jurnee Lindo Morgan was the youngest of the Daddy Cool Kids, but she was replaced in 2008 by Cassidy Taye from Orlando, Florida, of the same age, who had already appeared as a child model and with celebrities.

At the end of 2007 there was a Christmas album by Boney M. ( Christmas with Boney M. ), on which the Daddy Cool Kids participated for the first time in a new recording of Mary's Boy Child / Oh My Lord . The kids had their first appearance with the song on November 28th.

The first own single was then School's Out in 2008 , which is essentially composed of the Boney-M. song Gotta Go Home and other songs. The song was also played in Toggo in the Super RTL children's program and became the first chart success for Daddy Cool Kids in June. The release of the debut album, which was originally planned afterwards, has been postponed to the post-holiday period.
