Daegaya ("Great Gaya") was a state of the Gaya Federation in the central south of the Korean Peninsula .

Daegaya was dominated by agriculture and had hardly developed a metal industry until Geumgwan Gaya's loss of power . Iron mines and processing plants were not built until the leadership change within the Gaya Federation from Geumgwan Gaya to Daegaya.

In 562 Gaya and with it Daegaya was conquered by Silla .
