Go-Joseon (2333-108 BC)
The following list initially compares two fictional dynasties according to tradition - first the Go-Joseon of the Dangun dynasty (here 2333–237 BC), then the Go-Joseon of the Giya dynasty (here 1122–195 BC). ). Both dynasties are presumably modern fabrications from the Joseon period and are described in books such as the Dongguk Tonggam (15th century), Gyuwon Sahwa (17th century) or the Hwandan Gogi (20th century). For example, there are no breaks in the sequence typical of real dynasties, which would have to be expected over the course of a millennium, and there are sometimes unrealistically long reigns. Only a few historians recognize them as authentic; often genealogical commissioned work or nationalistic motives are suspected behind their writing ( invented tradition ).
All following years up to the following paragraph (Buyeo) understand themselves as "before Christ".
Only the following two rulers of the Go-Joseon period are recognized as myths dating back to an earlier date and possibly with a real core: Dangun (for the 2nd millennium) and Gija (for the 12th century). The history of Go-Joseon comes to an end with the probably historic Wei Man dynasty (194-108).
