Dag Wennlund
Dag Wennlund ( Dag Bengt Wennlund; born October 6, 1963 in Mariestad ) is a former Swedish javelin thrower .
In 1986 he retired from qualification at the European Athletics Championships in Stuttgart . At the World Athletics Championships in Rome in 1987 and the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, he was eighth. After a preliminary round at the 1990 European Championships in Split, he finished seventh at the 1991 World Cup .
At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, he did not get beyond the qualification. In 1993 he was sixth at the World Championships in Stuttgart , tenth at the European Championships in Helsinki in 1994 and fifth at the World Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 .
At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he was eliminated in the preliminary round.
In 1985, 1986 and 1991 he was Swedish champion. Starting for the University of Texas , he became NCAA champions in 1986 and 1987 .
