The Dagger Peak (English for dagger point ) is a 90 m high rock spur in the north of James Ross Island east of the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises steeply at the western end of Comb Ridge near the foothills of The Naze Peninsula just south of the Trinity Peninsula .
The area around this rock was first explored in 1902 by participants in the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) led by Otto Nordenskjöld . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it in 1945 and gave it its descriptive name.
