Dagoberto Godoy Fuentealba (born July 22, 1893 in Temuco , † September 8, 1960 in Santiago de Chile ) was a Chilean pilot who was the first to fly over the Andes .

As a lieutenant in the Chilean army, Dagoberto Godoy started on December 12, 1918 from El Bosque 40 km north of Santiago de Chile for the first Andes overflight. With his airplane, a Bristol M1-C , he flew at an altitude of 6300 m and landed successfully in Lagunitas near Mendoza in Argentina . The flight lasted 95 minutes.

Dagoberto Godoy already took part in South America's first military flight race in Buenos Aires in July 1916 . The Chileans were three Blériot - monoplanes involved.

In 1919 he was appointed captain of the Chilean Air Force. In 1942 he left the army.
