Daiki Sugioka ( Japanese 杉 岡 大 暉 , Sugioka Daiki ; born September 8, 1998 in Adachi , Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Daiki Sugioka learned to play football in the youth teams of Register FC and FC Tokyo as well as in the school team of the Funabashi Municipal High School . He signed his first professional contract with Shonan Bellmare in 2017 . The club from the port city of Hiratsuka in Kanagawa Prefecture played in the country's first division, the J1 League . By 2019, the defender had made 95 appearances for the club. In 2018 he won the J. League Cup with Bellmare . In 2020 he moved to league rivals Kashima Antlers in Kashima .

National team

From 2017 to 2018 he played for the Japanese junior national teams. Three times for the U20s , three times for the U21s and eight times for the U23s . He has been playing for the Japanese national soccer team since 2019 . He made his debut on June 18, 2019 at the Copa América against Chile .
