The Daimler company health insurance fund (Daimler BKK) is the company-related company health insurance fund of Daimler AG , based in Stuttgart, and a corporation under public law .

history

Today's Daimler BKK goes back to the BKK Hanomag-Henschel , later BKK Mercedes-Benz , founded on July 1, 1974 . She was initially responsible for 6,276 members at the Daimler locations in Bremen, Hamburg and Hanover; Two years later, the Kassel location was added. On July 1, 2001, Daimler BKK was established and emerged from the merger of the formerly independent company health insurance funds DaimlerChrysler (Stuttgart), EvoBus (Ulm) and Mercedes-Benz (Bremen). It is a company-related company health insurance fund: that is, only employees of Daimler AG and their family members can become members of the Daimler BKK. Employees who leave the company can still remain members. Anyone who has family insurance and becomes liable for insurance when taking up employment can become a member of the Daimler BKK themselves, even if the employment takes place outside of Daimler AG.

structure

Daimler BKK operates customer centers at all major Daimler locations in Germany as well as an online customer center on the Internet. The seat of the cash register is Stuttgart; central tasks are performed in Stuttgart and Bremen. The almost 310,000 insured are looked after by 328 employees. Benjamin Plocher is the board member of Daimler BKK.
