Dainis Ozols (born September 11, 1966 in Smiltene ) is a former Latvian cyclist .

biography

Dainis Ozols took part in the 1992 Summer Olympics, where he won the bronze medal in road racing . In the same year he was also able to win the Regio Tour . In 1994 he celebrated his next success with victory at the Circuit Franco-Belgie . This was followed by two more Olympic participations in road races in 1996 and in road races as well as in individual time trials in 2000 .

Between 1997 and 1999 Ozols was three times national champion of Latvia in the individual time trial . He was also able to finish the Tour of Małopolska and the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour in 1997 as the winner.
