The Regio-Tour (officially Rothaus Regio Tour ) is a former cycling race that took place annually in August in the three-country region Germany - France - Switzerland . The title sponsor was the Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus .

The stage race was founded in 1985 in Gundelfingen near Freiburg by Rudi Renz (1944–2015). Since then, the five-day Rothaus Regio-Tour stage race has developed into one of the top multi -day races in Germany and took place for the 25th time in 2009. Traditionally, a stage was held on French soil through Alsace. Until 2010, the tour always ended with a stage in Vogtsburg im Kaiserstuhl .

As an elite race, the competition was part of the UCI Europe Tour, newly founded in 2005, in the UCI category 2.1 and the then International German Championship .

From 2009 to 2012 the Rothaus Regio Tour took place as a junior race with national teams.
