Nico Sijmens
Nico Sijmens (born April 1, 1978 in Diest ) is a former Belgian cyclist .
Career
Nico Sijmens began his career in 2001 with the Belgian cycling team Vlaanderen-T Interim . In 2003 he celebrated his first successes with two stage wins at the Tour of Austria . His greatest success was winning the one-day race GP Pino Cerami 2003. In the 2005 season he won the Hel van het Mergellands and later the Rothaus Regio-Tour , whereby he finished the UCI Europe Tour 2005 in tenth place. In the next few years he won a. a. again the Hel van het Mergelland and the stage race Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour . Sijmens finishes the Giro d'Italia twice and the Vuelta a España four times . After the end of the 2014 season, he ended his career.
