Daisy Chain is a Berlin punk band . The texts address social and societal grievances or individual worlds of feeling and experience. The style of music is based on English punk from the early 1980s. Especially the female vocals should have provided comparisons with bands like Vice Squad , Avengers , Ejected , Violators , Deadline or Scattergun .

Daisy Chain sing mainly in English, but also have German-language songs.

history

Daisy Chain was founded as an all women band in Berlin in 2001. After a few concerts, the guitarist Milena left the quartet in order to concentrate fully on her second band "Allee der Kosmonauten" (not to be confused with this Allee der Kosmonauten ).

After a break of about six months, they were joined by ex- Contramination guitarist Steffen. Since this change the line-up has remained the same and the band is often advertised as a 3/4 woman punk band.

Thanks to Steffen's good contacts in Poland (he studied in Warsaw and lived there for several years) the band was able to do some concerts and tours in Poland and is almost better known there than in Germany.

In addition to Poland and all of Germany, they have already played and toured in the Netherlands , Switzerland , Austria , the Czech Republic , Lithuania , Finland , Sweden and Denmark - mainly in (ex) - occupied houses , alternative / autonomous youth centers and at festivals .

At the moment (mid-2008) the band is on a one-year "baby break".
