Susanne Betancor
Susanne Betancor (* 1964 in Neuwied ) is a German singer , composer , author and the inventor of the popette .
Life
Betancor grew up in Essen , the father is Canary and the mother is German. She has been working as a freelance artist since 1986 and has been based in Berlin since 1989 . She worked with artists such as Thomas Koppelberg, Stefan Stoppok , Helge Schneider , the Music Theater College of Hearts , Cora Frost , Georgette Dee , the Theater Thikwa, Kalle Mews, Buddy Casino , Käthe Lachmann and the band Lychee Lassi . From 2005 to 2013 she played with Joe Bauer, Beat Halberschmidt, Dirk Berger as a Betancorband , from 2013 to 2015 she played in a duo with Clara Haberkamp . In 2017 she completed a specialization course in contemporary composition with Dieter Ammann at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences.
Honors
Betancor received the Prix Pantheon in 1997 , the German Cabaret Prize in the Chanson category in 1998, and in 2008 she was the winner of the operare 08 realization competition of the Berlin Contemporary Opera with the project group “Antenne Pernot”. Betancor received the CD ›Gold‹ in 2014 for the 25th stage anniversary - 15 friends sing Betancor : Dirk Berger & Illvibe , Cora Frost , Clara Haberkamp, Josef Hader , Annette Humpe , Maren Kroymann , David Moss , Stefan Stoppok , Gustav Peter Wöhler , die Strottern and much more
