College of Hearts

College of Hearts was a Berlin musical troupe that toured the German-speaking area for 13 years from 1983 to 1996 with innovative pocket-sized musicals . Their pieces were characterized by a small cast with mostly 4-6 actors who also played the instruments at the same time. The German-language in-house productions were satirical and partly parodic in character and had strong time references. Several of their musicals have been played out in other theaters .

From the College of Hearts talent factory , u. a. stand out: Thomas Pigor and Benedikt Eichhorn (“Pigor sings - Benedikt Eichhorn must accompany” - Vol. 1–7), the singer Susanne Betancor , known as “Popette” , the tuba player Bettina Wauschke (“Venus Brass”), the drummer Kalle Mews ( Ulrich Tukur Band) and the composer Wolfgang Böhmer (often working for the Neukölln Opera ).
