The Dakshin Gangotri Glacier (also known as DG Glacier ) is a glacier on the Princess Astrid Coast of Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It is located behind the Indian Maitri station on the southern edge of the Schirmacher Oasis .
Indian scientists named it after the Dakshin Gangotri Station , India's first research station in Antarctica .
