Dalton-in-Furness

Dalton-in-Furness is a town in the English county of Cumbria , United Kingdom near the town of Barrow-in-Furness , with which it has grown closer and closer in recent times. The population is about 11,000. In ancient times it was the capital of the historic Furness region . The place has a connection to the Furness Line . Dalton was the home of the painter George Romney and the birthplace of the painter Richard T. Slone .
