Damian Stachowicz
Damian Stachowicz (* 1658 in Sokołów ; † November 27, 1699 in Łowicz ) was a Polish composer.
Stachowicz entered the Piarist Order at the age of sixteen , to which he belonged all his life, and worked as a teacher of poetry and rhetoric. He lived u. a. in Warsaw , Chełm , Piotrków Trybunalski , Góra Kalwaria , Łowicz and Podoliniec . Several litanies, psalms and motets, a requiem and a veni creator have been preserved from his church music works.
