Steamed sausage

Steam sausage is a simple cooked sausage made from beef and pork , fatty bacon and pork lung .

For production, the meat is finely chopped with ice, spices, cutter aids and nitrite curing salt , bacon and lungs are incorporated with the cutter, the sausage meat is filled into pork intestines of about 3.5 centimeters and the sausage is first smoked while hot and then scalded.

Steamed sausage is heated in hot water before consumption and served with mustard and bread as a snack . In Berlin, it is occasionally processed into currywurst instead of the higher quality, specially designed scalded sausages .
