Danças Ocultas is a Portuguese band whose four members all play a diatonic accordion .

Band history

The four musicians Artur Fernandes, Filipe Cal, Filipe Ricardo and Francisco Miguel met in 1989 in Águeda to develop independent music with the diatonic accordion, which is called the concertina in Portugal , apart from folklore or tango. They recorded their first album in 1986 and have since played several concert tours in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

In 2016, Amplitude released her first live album with recordings of her performances in May 2015 at the Casa da Música in Porto and at the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon. They appeared for the first time with an orchestra, the Orquestra Filarmonica das Beiras , and guests also appeared on selected pieces, such as the fado singer Carminho , the instrumental rock duo Dead Combo and the musician Rodrigo Leão . The public radio station Antena 1 presented the CD.
