Dan Baird (born December 12, 1953 in San Diego , California ) is an American rock singer and guitarist . He is considered a representative of guitar-heavy rock.

Live and act

Dan Baird grew up in Atlanta , Georgia , where he played and sang in various local bands as a teenager. In 1980 he founded The Georgia Satellites , the majority of whose songs were penned and with which he released four albums. In the early 1990s, he left the satellites to start a solo career.

After his second solo album, he co-founded the southern rock band The Yayhoos , with whom he released two albums a long time apart.

According to his own statements, he ended his concert career at the end of 2019. The reason is his leukemia, which was diagnosed in 2017.
