Daniel Glenn Doornink (* 1. February 1956 in Yakima , Washington ) is a former American American football poker players. He played eight seasons as running back and fullback in the National Football League (NFL).

Doornink was selected by the New York Giants in the 1978 NFL Draft .

Seattle Seahawks

On August 21, 1979, the Seahawks exchanged their seventh-round pick for the 1980 draft to get Doornink. On December 12, 1982 Doornink shot a punt over 54 yards in the game against the Chicago Bears , setting the franchise record for yards per punt. In the wild card playoff game against the defending champions Los Angeles Raiders , he ran 126 yards and thus contributed decisively to the 13: 7 victory of the Seahawks. The special thing about it was that he ran the same play in all of his 29 runs, Check with me, 34 and 35 . In total, he was able to play 92 games in his seven seasons with the Seahawks.
