Daniel Yaw Adjei (born November 10, 1989 in Dansoman , often spelled Daniel Agyei ), nickname Damba , is a Ghanaian soccer goalkeeper .
Career
Adjei joined the youth team of the Ghanaian first division club Liberty Professionals from Accra in 2007 . In his second year he was promoted to the team's goalkeeper in the Ghana Premier League .
Daniel Adjei was also the goalkeeper of Ghana's U-20 team, which first became African and then world champions in 2010. He became the hero of the U-20 World Cup final when he saved three times on penalties.
Like many of his U-20 companions, he was also used after the success in the senior team : On November 18, 2009, he made his debut against Angola . For the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa , he was accepted into Ghana's squad as number 3 goalkeeper . He is considered the upcoming number 1 in the Black Stars team .
