Daniel Astegiano (born August 27, 1952 in Buenos Aires ) is a former Argentine football player on the position of a striker .

career

Astegiano began his professional career in 1971 with Rosario Central , with whom he won the Argentine football championship that same year .

After further stints at the Argentine clubs Atlético Ledesma and Independiente , Astegiano moved to the Spanish Primera División in 1977 , where he spent the following two seasons at Rayo Vallecano .

From there he moved to the Mexican league , where he won the championship title with his new club Cruz Azul in his first season in 1979/80 . After two years with the Cementeros , he played one season each with Atlético Español FC and Atlas Guadalajara , where he ended his active career at the age of 30.

1975 Astegiano completed three international appearances for the Argentine national team , in which he scored as many goals.
