Daniel N'Dene Bekono (born May 31, 1978 in Yaoundé ) is a former Cameroonian football player on the position of goalkeeper .

Career

societies

Bekono began his professional career at Canon Yaoundé ; he was active there until 2002. After a year each at Brunei DPMM FC and Fovu Club , he joined the Bulgarian club Beroe Stara Sagora , for which he played for five years. In 2008 he moved to CSKA Sofia , with whom he became Bulgarian champion . In 2010 the goalkeeper was fired from the club on disciplinary grounds.

National team

He was part of the Cameroonian national team , which became African champions in 2000 , but played only one game in the group stage in the 6-1 away win over Mozambique . A few months later he was a member of the U23 selection at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . With this, the goalkeeper also won the gold medal.
