Daniel Burman (born August 29, 1973 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine film director.

Life

Burman presented his first short film in Argentina in 1995 while still a film student. In 1998 he made his debut with his first feature film. With his third feature film Every Stewardess Goes to Heaven , he came to Germany for the Berlinale for the first time and showed his film in the Panorama section. With his next film El Abrazo partido he was invited to the competition of the International Film Festival in Berlin in 2004 and won the Grand Jury Prize. Its main actor Daniel Hendler received the Silver Bear for best actor. He opened the Panorama Special section at the Berlin Film Festival in 2006 with his film Derecho di familia . He gained further film experience as a co-producer of the film The Journey of Young Che , directed by the Brazilian director Walter Salles . His films El abrazo partido (2004), La suerte en tus manos (2012) and El rey del Once (2016) are set in the Jewish community of Buenos Aires.
