Daniel Döringer (born February 26, 1991 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Daniel Döringer, who was also successful as a track and field athlete in his childhood, played soccer at SV 07 in Kriftel , Hesse, up to the C-youth , in the B-youth in the Frankfurt district club VfB Unterliederbach and then switched to the A-youth of SV Wehen in 2008 Wiesbaden . There he played for two years, became team captain and completed his youth with promotion to the junior national league. On the last match day of the 2009/10 season he was also used for one half in the U23 in the Regionalliga Süd.

He switched to the second team and was a regular player in central defense there, at least in the second half of the season. For the 2011/12 season he then got a prospective contract for the professional team in the third division. On the third day of the game, he was first used as a substitute. In the summer of 2014 he left the club after 44 league appearances free of charge and moved to 1. FC Saarbrücken . With the Saarlanders, Döringer narrowly missed promotion to the third division and after three years joined the Stuttgarter Kickers in the Regionalliga Südwest in summer 2017 . There he made 24 appearances in his first season, but tore his cruciate ligament in the penultimate game of the season against 1. FSV Mainz 05 II on May 5, 2018 and has not played a game since then ( status: winter break 2018/19 ).
