Daniel Diermeier

Daniel Diermeier (* 1965 in Berlin ) is a German scientist. Since July 1, 2016, he has been Provost at the University of Chicago .

From 2014 to 2016 Diermeier was Dean of the Harris School of Public Policy. He previously taught at the Kellogg School of Management and the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University . His Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Rochester .

Diermeier is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a Research Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Advanced Research (CIFAR). In 2014 he received a Guggenheim Fellowship .
