The Stanford Graduate School of Business ( Stanford Business School or Stanford GSB for short ) is one of the leading American business schools. It is part of Stanford University and is based in Stanford , California.

The business school was founded in 1925. It has 25,083 living alumni, including 17,871 alumni of the MBA program.

The faculty includes three Nobel Prize winners, two John Bates Clark Prize winners, 15 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and three members of the National Academy of Sciences .

The Stanford Graduate School of Business offers a general MBA program, not specifically for areas such as finance or marketing. The two-year full-time MBA program enrolls approximately 400 students per year. The admission rate is very strict; usually less than 6% of applicants are admitted.

The annual budget is 133 million  USD ; With an endowment of USD 1 billion, Stanford is the second richest business school in the USA (as of August 31, 2007). The annual tuition fee is approximately $ 70,000. In August 2006, Stanford GSB received a US $ 105 million donation from alumnus Phil Knight .
