Daniel Eschbach (born October 5, 1973 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .
Career
Eschbach played his first Bundesliga game at 1. FC Köln in the 1996/97 season after Bodo Illgner moved to Real Madrid , regular goalkeeper Michael Kraft was injured and substitute goalkeeper Antonio Ananiew was suspended after a red card. After two games, Kraft returned as a goalkeeper at the beginning of the second half of the season. For the 1997/98 season Eschbach moved to FC Energie Cottbus in the Second Bundesliga, but was not used there. He then played in the 1998/99 season at KFC Uerdingen 05, also in the second division. In 2000 he ended his career with Wuppertaler SV in the Oberliga Nordrhein .
Eschbach came to two appearances in the first and in the second Bundesliga .
