Daniel Fetz

Daniel Fetz (born November 3, 1984 in Linz ) is an Austrian wakeboarder .

Athletic career

Fetz began his sporting career as a wakeboarder at the age of 14. He achieved his first national and international competitions in 2000. In 2001 he was involved in founding the “Wakeboard Club Feldkirchen” (WBCF) and was a member of the board. In 2002 he started working as a wakeboard instructor and organized his first wakeboard camps. In 2005 he founded his own company Fetzysworld . In 2007 he took part in two international wakeboard video productions. In 2008, Fetz laid the foundation stone for the Fetzysworld wakeboarding area on Salmsee.

In 2011, Fetz published the first learning videos on YouTube , which reach over 150,000 views annually. In 2012 he designed the major Red Bull Wake of Steel event in the port of Linz as the sporting director. In 2013 he became IWWF driver representative for wakeboarding at the Olympic Committee in Lausanne (Switzerland). In 2016 Fetz started in the Masters (30+) category for the first time and, after the World Tour stop in Bratislava (Slovakia), won his first European title in Tel Aviv . Shortly afterwards he became vice world champion at the Masters in Mexico .

From 2001 to 2019, Fetz took part in over 150 competitions. Out of 10 competitions he made it to the final an average of 8 times.
