Daniel Hagmann

Daniel Hagmann (* 1966 in Hilden ) is a Swiss historian .

Life

After the maturity of the Canton Solothurn studied Daniel Hagmann History and German at the University of Basel , where he in 1993 the licentiate obtained. In 1998 he was there with a dissertation on “Borders of Home. Territorial identities in Laufental " doctorate .

From 1995 to 2001 he was a member of the Baselbiet History Research Center. He then worked as a freelance historian. Since 2010 he has been an information officer at the Basel-Stadt State Archives .

Since 2002 he has been a member of the working group for the publication of Baselbieter Heimatkunden (President 2009–2012).

His research dealt with regional history with a focus on homeland, everyday religiosity and biography.
