Arlette Schnyder

Arlette Schnyder (* 1968 in Bafut , Cameroon) is a Swiss historian .

Life

Arlette Schnyder studied German , philosophy and history at the University of Basel . In 2006 she received her PhD in Modern General History. For her dissertation, a gender-historical study of eight single sisters and their network, she received the 2007 Faculty Prize from the Philosophical-Historical Faculty of the University of Basel. She works as a historian, journalist and teacher and, as vice-principal, is a member of the school management of the Leonhardgymnasium in Basel.
