Daniel Huňa (born June 25, 1979 in Plzeň ) is a Czech football player .

Club career

Huňa played for Baník Most and 1. FC Pilsen in his youth . After a year at Baník Souš, the 21-year-old striker went to the United States , where he worked as a painter and varnisher and only played football as an amateur.

In January 2004 Huňa returned to the Czech Republic and joined the then second division Bohemians Prague . When the latter went bankrupt at the end of 2004 and stopped playing, the attacker switched to Marila Příbram . In Příbram Huňa played only irregularly, at the end of the 2006/07 season the team was relegated to the 2nd division .

In the 2007/08 season, the hitherto little successful striker broke the knot. In 26 games he scored ten goals and thus contributed to the immediate resurgence of the team. Huňa was able to maintain this good form in the first half of the 2008/09 season: he scored ten goals in 15 games. In the second half of the season, however, he only scored one goal. With a total of eleven goals Huňa was nevertheless the best Czech goalscorer of the Gambrinus League season 2008/09, more, namely 15 goals, scored only top scorer Andrej Keric .
