Daniel Kämmerling

Daniel Kämmerling (born April 18, 1992 in Düsseldorf ) is a German motorcycle racer and the son of the former motorcycle racer Andreas Kämmerling

Daniel Kämmerling won in the 2009 season, like his father in 2006, the title in the German Series Sport Cup in the class up to 250/400 cm³ on an Aprilia RS 250. He won unbeaten with the full score of 125 points out of five of six races. Due to the early title win, Daniel Kämmerling left the series prematurely. Daniel Kämmerling is the youngest overall winner in the history of this competition.

Kämmerling has been driving motorcycle races since 2007 and began his career in the Junior Cup of the Netherlands on an Aprilia RS 125, which he finished with third overall after his first full season. In 2009 he competed in the ADAC Junior Cup and moved ahead of schedule to the 2009 season finale at the Hockenheimring in the International German Motorcycle Championship .

Until 2012 Daniel Kämmerling rode in the International German Motorcycle Championship in the class up to 125 cm³ on a Honda equipped with a high-quality Seel engine . As the end of the 125cc class in favor of Moto3 was approaching, much of the former factory material became available, also for national championships. In addition, motorcycle sport did not meet with any particular interest from potential sponsors in Germany, especially in the non-international area. The team, consisting only of father and family friends as technicians and son, came under an unpredictable burden both financially and technically. Although the Seel-Honda was generally on par in terms of performance potential, the now necessary exhaustion of the material to the limit due to the strong competitive pressure turned out to be very complex and costly. On the one hand, this led to numerous defects, on the other hand, it also led to a high level of risk, which resulted in a large number of serious falls. The project was therefore discontinued at the end of 2012.

Daniel Kämmerling is currently working in finance and motorcycling is exclusively a hobby.
