Daniel Koschitzki (born March 1, 1978 in Heilbronn ) is a German recorder player .

biography

Daniel Koschitzki studied recorder with Karel van Steenhoven at the University of Music in Karlsruhe . In addition, he trained as a pianist with Michael Uhde and Markus Stange . He completed both subjects in 2007 with "distinction". From 2001 to 2007 he played in the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet .

In 2006 he founded the baroque ensemble Koschitzki & Ritter with Andrea Ritter , who had also studied flute with Karel van Steenhoven and who has played in the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet since 2004 . In 2007 the two founded the "classic band" Spark .

Andrea Ritter and Daniel Koschitzki have been performing as a duo since 2008. In her program Bird's Paradise , Andrea Ritter mainly plays works by contemporary composers on various types of recorders, while Daniel Koschitzki usually accompanies her on the piano and only occasionally takes up the flute himself. The album Echoing Voices , which was released by ARS Produktion in 2011, contains pieces from this program together with other works by contemporary composers. On this album, too, Daniel Koschitzki accompanies Andrea Ritter, who plays the recorder, on the piano.

Daniel Koschitzki has been teaching recorder and piano at the University of Education in Karlsruhe since 2004 . He also holds master classes and advanced training events for recorder.
