Daniel Lang (born May 21, 1977 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a German-British filmmaker .

biography

Daniel Lang is the son of the Bavarian artist Nikolaus Lang and the English teacher Celia Lang. He grew up in Bayersoien , between 1986 and 1989 in Adelaide , Australia . In 1997 he graduated from the Staffelsee-Gymnasium in Murnau . 1998–2001 he studied film and drama at the University of Reading , England, and since 2001 directing at the University of Film and Television Potsdam- Babelsberg. His short film “female / male” (2004) was awarded the 2005 German Short Film Prize in Gold. His latest short film "Dog" premiered at the 2006 Berlinale .
