Daniel Leupi

Daniel Leupi (born November 23, 1965 in Cham ) is a Swiss politician ( Green Party of Switzerland ).

Life

After attending the Lucerne Cantonal School , Leupi studied economics in Bern from 1985 to 1994 and graduated with a licentiate . He has lived in Zurich since 1995.

Daniel Leupi was a member of the Zurich City Council from 2002 to 2010 , and from 2006 to 2009 as parliamentary group president of the Green Party. On March 7, 2010 he was elected to the Zurich City Council, where he took over the police department on May 17, 2010. After Martin Vollenwyder's resignation , Leupi moved to the Finance Department on June 1, 2013.

As co-owner of the Velobüro Olten, Daniel Leupi was managing director of the car-free adventure days slowUp . Since 2008 he has also been a member of the Children's Theater Purpur, where he is also a member of the board. Together with his party colleague Ruth Genner, he wants to work in the city council for more cycling routes in the city.

Daniel Leupi is married and has two children.
