Daniel Lois (* 1978 ) is a German sociologist.

Life

After completing the master’s degree at RWTH Aachen University in 2004, major: Sociology, overall grade, with distinction '(1st minor: Political Science 2nd minor: Economic and social history Master’s thesis on the topic of “Employment Biography in the Modern Age - An Empirical Analysis of Professional Further Education for Older People Employed in North Rhine-Westphalia ”) from 2005 to 2012 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Sociology at the TU Chemnitz , professorship for empirical social research ( Johannes Kopp ). After graduation(Dr. phil.) 2008 with the grade "summa cum laude" at the Institute for Sociology of the TU Chemnitz; Title of the dissertation: "Development paths of illegitimate unions - An empirical analysis based on a lifestyle approach" (Reviewer: Johannes Kopp, Bernhard Nauck , Paul B. Hill ) he represented the W2 professorship for sociology at the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt , Faculty for Social Work , in the 2011/2012 winter semester . From 2012 to 2013 he taught as a junior lecturer (W1) for methods at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Tübingen . After completing his habilitation in Tübingen in 2013 ( Venia Legendi in sociology); Title of the habilitation thesis: "When life makes you religious" - Age-dependent changes in ecclesiastical religiosity in the course of life "(Reviewer: Steffen Hillmert , Gert Pickel , Johannes Kopp) he represented the W2 professorship for social science methodology at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich . Since 2015 he has held the W2 professorship for social science methodology at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich .
