Daniel Lupzig (born October 24, 1989 in Straubing ) is a former German ice hockey player .

Career

Daniel Lupzig began his career at Deggendorfer SC , for whose junior team he went on the ice in the 2005/06 season in the Bavarian Junior League. In the following season, the winger was also part of the squad, but also received first appearances in their men's team, the Deggendorf Fire . In 2006 he was a permanent member of the Deggendorf Fire squad in the Bayern League , with whom he immediately succeeded in being promoted to the Oberliga . The 2007/08 season was also in the squad of the top division team from Deggendorf Fire. It was also given a license to support the Krefeld penguins , for which it was not used.

After a successful league debut in 2008, there was a brief change during the 2008/09 season to EV Dingolfing in the Bayernliga. For the 2009/10 season Deggendorf Fire again secured the services of the external attacker. The following year he switched to the Mosquitos Essen in the Oberliga West, where he collected 26 scorer points in 43 games this season under coach Jari Pasanen . Since the 2011/12 season Lupzig belonged to the organization of the Hanover Indians in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga . Between 2012 and 2015 Lupzig played for the MEC in Hall 04 .

Before the 2015/16 season he signed a two-year contract with the Hannover Scorpions. He then signed an annual contract with EHC Timmendorfer Strand 06. After a successful season on the Baltic Sea, he signed a contract with Crocodiles Hamburg before the 2018/19 season.

In March 2020 he ended his career in order to work as a mental coach and psychologist for athletes in the future.
