The EV Dingolfing is an ice hockey team in Dingolfing in Lower Bavaria Dingolfing-Landau . The team currently plays in the Bavarian State Ice Hockey League .

history

EV Dingolfing was founded in 1978. Initially, the club played in the so-called group league, which is comparable to a national league. In 1983 the Niederbayern rose as undefeated champions in the Bavarian League and made the march into the Regionalliga Süd perfect in just one season as undefeated champions. In the first season in the Regionalliga Süd, the team reached 2nd place and was promoted to the Oberliga Süd. From 1985 to 1992 one took part in this league in the game operation constantly, at the end of the 1991/92 season the EVD could not prevent the relegation and therefore had to start again in the Regionalliga Süd. After 2 years in the Regionalliga Süd they took part in the 2nd League South in the 1994/95 season and were champions in the preliminary round, and in the promotion round to the 1st League South they finished 8th. However, the two Czech players Martin Chmelik and Jiri Nachtmann had forged passports. As a result, the EV Dingolfing had to compulsorily relegate to the state league. For the 1994/95 game year, all goals and points were withdrawn by the league officials and the championship title withdrawn.

After the forced relegation to the regional league, the team became champions of the regional league in the 1995/96 season and rose to the Bayern league east. Until the 2004/05 season, the EVD remained in the Bavarian League until they had to announce their withdrawal from the game after 22 matchdays this season and thus became the first relegated to the regional league.

After withdrawing from the Bayern League, they started in the Landesliga Ost in 2005, where the Dingolfinger team made their promotion to the Bayern League perfect as runners-up in the 2007/08 season. Until 2010, the club played in the top Bavarian league, before relegated to the state league.
