Normal way From the Bremer Hütte via Burgschrofen , east flank and north ridge ( II )

The outer weather peak is 3070  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Stubai Alps in Tyrol . It rises between the Stubai and Gschnitztal valleys . In the north the peak is separated from the southern Rötenspitze ( 2981  m ) by the Trauljoch , in the south the Lautererseejoch separates the Outer from the somewhat lower Inner Wetterspitze ( 3053  m ). The weather peaks belonged to the Habichtkamm, a mountain ridge that branches off from the main Alpine ridge near the flintstones and runs in a north-easterly direction to the Elferspitze .

The elongated eastern ridge of the Äußere Wetterspitze is crossed by the Stubaier Höhenweg between the Bremer Hütte and the Innsbrucker Hütte , above the so-called Hohen and Niederen Burg, two smaller elevations on the eastern flank of the Wetterspitze.

Climbs

The usual ascent, including the path of the first to climb, follows the Stubai High Trail to Burgschrofen , the point where the high trail crosses the east ridge of the Äußere Wetterspitze. From there it goes north into the slab pit , then in the north of the east ridge crossing up to the north ridge, which is entered below the last summit ascent. On the north ridge, go up just to the left of the ridge edge through a chimney ( II ) and continue on the ridge to the summit.
