The Elferspitze is a mountain in the Stubai Alps in Austria and belongs to the Habichtkamm , which branches off from the main Alpine ridge near the flintstones and runs in a northeastern direction to it.

Your summit cross is at the eastern Elferturm (in the Kompass hiking map and guide: "Nördlicher Elferturm", signpost on site "Elferspitze") at 2499  m above sea level. A. , the actual main summit is 2505 meters high and is also known as Elferkofel (in the AV map "Elferspitze").

From Neustift in the Stubai Valley , the Elfer - more a name for the area - is accessible by cable car up to a height of 1790  m : from 1964 with a single chairlift from Felix Wopfner , from 1987 with a double chairlift from Leitner and since 2004 with an 8- seater gondola also from Leitner. In winter, a drag lift leads to the Elferhütte ( 2004  m ). In 2017, consideration was given to building the 4-seater chairlift Panoramabahn of the Patscherkofelbahn on the Elfer; Due to a lack of funding and approval, the project failed and the train instead runs on the opposite side of the valley in the Schlick 2000 .

The Elferspitze is also mostly climbed from the Elferhütte. Other paths lead from the Innsbrucker Hütte or from the Pinnistal to the summit. There are also two via ferratas that can also be combined: The Elferkofel-Steig ( via ferrata, difficulty C ), which crosses the Elferkofel in several ups and downs, and the "Elfer Nordwand-Klettersteig" on the western Elferturm ( 2495  m ) ( Via ferrata, difficulty C / D, var. D / E ).

To the southwest of the mountain rises the 2562  m high Zwölferspitze , which is connected to the Elferspitze by the Zwölfernieder crossing.
