Daniel Neumann (politician)

Daniel Neumann (born June 7, 1984 in Neuss , Germany) is a German politician ( PIRATE ) and was a member of the state board of the Pirate Party of North Rhine-Westphalia from July 2012 to February 2015 .

Career

Daniel Neumann was first elected as a member of the state board of the Pirate Party on July 1, 2012. On April 27, 2013, he was elected to the post of Vice-Chairman, which he held for two terms until February 2015.

For the 2014 municipal elections in North Rhine-Westphalia , he ran for the Neuss City Council in the Stadionviertel district and for the district council in the Neusser Furth / Weißenberg district. He gained media attention before and during his activity in the state executive committee for drafting the copyright reform of the Pirate Party. At the start of various round tables for the Pirate Party's copyright dialogue, he was with Bruno Kramm at Gema and other events. He also organized the “Music doesn't need GEMA” campaign by the Pirate Party of North Rhine-Westphalia. In September 2012 he published a comprehensive reform proposal for copyright law with the help of the well-known network lawyer Udo Vetter . Daniel Neumann studied media informatics and works as a web developer.
