Daniel O'Keefe

Daniel J. O'Keefe (born March 30, 1950 ) is an American communication researcher and argumentation theorist .

O'Keefe studied linguistic research and psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a bachelor's degree until 1972 and obtained a master's degree in linguistic research in 1973. In 1976 he received his doctorate in linguistic communication there. Since 2005 he has been a professor in the communications research department at Northwestern University .
