Daniel Schmitt (born June 18, 1994 in Bad Soden / Taunus ) is a German volleyball player .

In 2003 Daniel Schmitt started playing volleyball in the youth team of VC Dresden . Since 2009 he has been active for the first and second men's team of VC Dresden. As a setter, he was able to celebrate a few promotions with the first men's team. As team captain, Schmitt was promoted from the Third League East to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2015/16 season . Since the 2017/18 season he has been able to achieve third place in the 2nd South Volleyball Bundesliga for VC Eltmann . In the following season 2018/19 he won the championship in the 2nd Bundesliga South with the team and was able to celebrate the second promotion to the 1st volleyball Bundesliga after the 2011/12 season with VC Dresden.
