Daniel Sturm (born March 6, 1977 in Naumburg (Saale) ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in 1993, Daniel Sturm trained as a hairdresser from 1993 to 1996 and worked as a hairdresser from 1996 to 2003. In 2003 he graduated as a master hairdresser. Sturm has been working as an independent master hairdresser in Naumburg since 2005.

Between 1993 and 2006 he worked for the Naumburger Tageblatt. Between 1996 and 2006 he worked for Curt Becker, member of the state parliament .

Daniel Sturm is a member of the hairdressing guild and the Naumburger Bürgererverein e. V.

politics

Daniel Sturm joined the CDU and the Junge Union in 1993 . Between 1993 and 1997 he was chairman of the Junge Union in Naumburg and from 1997 to 2005 district chairman of the Junge Union in Burgenlandkreis . From 1998 to 2002 he was an assessor in the regional executive committee of the Junge Union and between 2002 and 2006 deputy regional chairman. In 2006, Sturm joined the medium-sized and business association of the CDU in Saxony-Anhalt (MIT). Since 1999 he has been the CDU chairman in Naumburg. Since 2004 he has been a city councilor in Naumburg and vice chairman of the parliamentary group.

In March 2006 Daniel Sturm was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt via constituency 44 (Naumburg) . There he is secretary of the President of the State Parliament and a member of the Committee on Law and Constitution, the Election Review Committee and the Tenth Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (police work).

In the election of the 7th state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt on March 13, 2016, he again won the direct mandate in constituency 42 (Naumburg) with 31.9% and thus just managed to get back into the state parliament before the AfD candidate Lydia Funke (30 ,8th %).
