Arthur Etterich

Arthur Etterich (born March 8, 1894 in Wanne , Westphalia ; † August 24, 1960 in Homberg , Niederrhein) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending primary and secondary schools in Hattingen and Essen , Etterich studied agriculture in Bonn-Poppelsdorf and Hamburg . From 1914 to 1918 Etterich took part in the First World War. He then earned his living as a practical farmer for six years, then as a businessman for seven years, including five years as a self-employed businessman in the wire industry.

In the 1920s, Etterich joined the Nazi movement. In 1922 he founded the local group Hattingen of the NSDAP. From 1923 to 1924 he was the leader of an activist fighting force in the Ruhr War . He was arrested by the French in early 1924, but released again in September 1924 due to the so-called London amnesty . From 1924 to 1926 and from 1929 to 1931 Etterich was a city councilor for the NSDAP in Hattingen.

From 1925 onwards, Etterich worked as a full-time SA leader for two years . On July 1, 1932, Etterich took over duties in the Reich Labor Service .

From 1929 to 1930 Etterich belonged to the district council of the Ruhr-Ennepe-Kreis. In the Reichstag election on March 29, 1936, he ran unsuccessfully. It was only from April 1938 until the end of Nazi rule in May 1945 that Etterich was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag as a member of constituency 21 (Koblenz-Trier) .

From 1943 Etterich was general labor leader of the Reich Labor Service.
