Daniel Svensson (born April 3, 1982 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish handball player who played a total of eight times for the Danish national team.

Athletic career

Svensson played at IF Stadion until 2000. After Svensson then ran for Ajax København , he moved to the Danish first division club FCK Håndbold in the summer of 2003 . After two seasons with FCK, he signed a contract with league rivals AaB Håndbold . After the backcourt player won the Danish championship with AaB in 2010, he moved to the Spanish first division team Toledo BM. In February 2011 he joined the German Bundesliga club TuS N-Lübbecke . From the 2013/14 season he ran for the Danish club Skjern Håndbold . With Skjern he won the Danish Cup of the 2013/14 season on March 29, 2015 and the Danish Cup of the 2015/16 season on February 6, 2017. He ended his career after the 2016/17 season.

On March 12, 2013, Svensson announced that he had Hodgkin's lymphoma . Because of the treatment measures introduced, Svensson was unable to play.

Svensson has been managing director of the men's team at Ajax København since the 2019/20 season.
