Daniel Westmattelmann (born October 31, 1987 in Ahlen ) is a German road cyclist .

Daniel Westmattelmann started his career in 2007 with the German Continental Team AKUD Rose . In 2008 he was German university champion in the individual time trial . In 2011 he won the silver medal in the team time trial at the Universiade . He had a surprise in the individual time trial of the 2014 German Cycling Championships, in which he finished fourth. In 2016 he won the French individual time trial Chrono Champenois and thus his first cycle race on an international cycling calendar.

At the end of July 2017, Westmattelmann was hit by an escort motorcycle during a race of the Rad-Bundesliga and was seriously injured. For over half a year he could not contest any races.

In addition to his career as a cyclist, Westmattelmann graduated from the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster with a degree in business administration and then obtained his doctorate.
