The classes each contest up to nine different races nationwide, with Juniors and Masters starting together, as is common practice in other countries. In the men's class, only teams with at least four drivers in the U23 age group are allowed to take part in the races.
For men, 23 teams, eight for women, 14 for juniors and five teams for juniors have registered their participation.
A total of 100 athletes are admitted to the master classes, both individual drivers and teams. All athletes born in 1977 and older are eligible to start; Recognized refugees born between 1977 and 1968 are also admitted. The merging of the juniors and masters classes met with criticism from cyclists: As a result, the Bundesliga is losing value.
